Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse

CODA is a private, non-profit organization that serves victims of intimate partner abuse throughout Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton and Colleton Counties. CODA operates a 24-hour crisis line and provides safe shelter, transitional housing assistance, case management, individual and group counseling for adults and children, court advocacy, assistance petitioning for protective orders and legal representation to qualified victims. The Cumbee Center to Assist Abused Persons

Child Abuse Prevention Association

CAPA Beaufort is a private, non-profit agency that provides intervention services for victims of child abuse, including emergency shelter and educational programs for parents, caregivers and children. They can be reached at 843-524-4350. For more information, visit


Hope Haven of the Lowcountry

South Carolina Victim's Assistance Network

SCVAN is a statewide agency that provides a number of services to crime victims, including emergency financial assistance. They also operate the S.C.
